Nigeria is a West African country, home to over 100 universities and polytechnics. Our universities train some of the most brilliant minds in the world.
Nonetheless, Nigerian Universities lack adequate basic facilities.
Some of these facilities include;

  • Conducive lecture theatres.
  • Up to date science and technological equipment.
  • Conducive hostel accommodation with clean toilets and bathrooms.
  • Enough science laboratories.
  • Enough recreational FACILITIES If proper up to date science and technological equipment are provided for the Students, it will enable them feel comfortable competing with their foreign counterparts from universities in foreign countries and hopefully, churn out graduates that can make an impact in the world at large. These graduates will therefore in turn, help develop our economy and improve our infrastructure. This will further make our great country Nigeria, a force to be reckoned with in education.
    All these cannot be possible if we don’t tackle the short comings in our universities and polytechnics. Other problems confronting the Nigerian Universities are shortage of seasoned lecturers and professors together with incessant strikes year in, year out, by the university lecturers. This incessant strikes by the university lecturers in Nigeria, year in, year out, has negatively impacted the standard of education in Nigeria.
    The Nigerian government must quickly team up with the National Universities Commission to resolve all the challenges confronting the Nigerian Universities.
